Unlike everyone who was hating on the fact that they were paying $7 for 1 hour worth of gameplay, I actually fully enjoyed this DLC.  Although Kasumi was not as fleshed out like some of the other crew members aboard the Normandy, she is radically fun to play with.

Cliff Bleszinski from Epic Games stopped by the Jimmy Fallon show and showed off the Gears of War 3 Trailer, “Ashes to Ashes.”  Double barrel shotguns and female soldiers.  I’m a little excited. You can see it here. (Sorry, NBC embedding is a little screwed up.)

I just finished Mass Effect 2.  All I have to say is “Wow…”  The only other game in recent memory that made me sad when it ended was Uncharted 2.  Sequels get really bad reputations, but Mass Effect 2 took the great parts of the original such as engaging story, deep characters, and interesting plot twists to keep the players happy and engrossed while taking Shepard from death to impending doom. I finally got a chance to play the Wet demo.  I know that the game has been out for two weeks, but with all the grad school applications, marathon training, and work, it’s been hard to go through my video game to-do list.  WET is an action game that combines shooting and swordplay with ridiculous acrobatic.  You play as Rubi Malone who is like Uma Thurman in Kill Bill with the acrobatics of Jet Li.  Armed with twin pistols, sword, and ridiculous jumping/wall-running/sliding ability, you basically hack/shoot/slash your way through your enemies.

After some quality time playing as an orbital drop shock trooper, here are some thoughts that I have on the latest entry to the Halo series.  I played the campaign through with another friend of mine and was a little bit disappointed.  Don’t take me wrong.  It is still a decent first-person shooter with good visuals and game play.  Just don’t expect anything groundbreaking in ODST.  The weaker weaponry and stamina mechanics were throwbacks to the first Halo game, so ODST’s difficulty is a little bit harder than previously experienced in Halo 2 and 3.
