Costs and recession are not the only things killing the video game business
kek | February 18, 2009Slate posted an article claiming that high development costs and the search for the “next blockbuster hit” are drowning video game publishing giants like EA and Activision. It is true that behemoth video game publishers such as EA and Activision are facing unprecedented development and overhead costs when producing their own games while managing other studios at the same time. However, I believe there are structural changes taking place in the video game industry that are unique to this console generation than past console generations.
